You can keep these social creatures inside the house, are smaller than dogs, and therefore take much less room. There is no long commitment as you have with a cat or dog, as their lifespan is not as long. Rats require daily interaction with their owners and some pet rat supplies, not simply observed like snakes or crocodile from outside of the tank. These social creatures are very intelligent and get frustrated so easily if not mentally stimulated.

Stimulation can be in the form of toys. They enjoy these toys such as cardboard boxes and wooden wheels. Rats do well in groups, a rat kept with others will be a good idea, and will be kept entertained while you’re gone and limits the need for many pet rat supplies. There is one common challenge that all rat owners should be aware of, they are prone to respiratory infections and sneezing, and wheezing is not normal. A pet rat’s home should be a cage not forgetting the fleece cloth, which can be laid as bedding. After 24 hours, you should freeze bedding to avoid bugs. You can toilet train them by providing a special litter tray and don’t forget to clean it regularly. Buy a well-designed, well-ventilated cage for your pet rat; it can help to prevent your pet rat from respiratory problems.

First on our list of pet rat supplies is a water bottle. You might be shocked to see how much water a tiny rat can drink. Rats are sensitive to heat. And they are prone to heat strokes, so you should importantly keep your pet hydrated. I recommend that you buy glass water bottles. They are more expensive compared to the plastic ones but are sturdier since the rats can’t chew through them.

Rat food is another item that you cannot go with out. Buy lab blocks with good protein content and supplement with grain mixes. You might want to consider buying a dish for you to place rat food in, or you can just choose to give the food directly to your rats.

Next on our list is a rat cage. Barspacing should not be larger than half an inch and the flooring should be solid so that it would be easier for little rat feet. Don’t forget to buy beddings, hammocks, hideaways, nesting boxes and litter boxes for the cage. Also, purchase rat cage cleaning materials to keep your cage hygienic and smell-free.

These are the basic items required if you have a pet rat. It’s up to you if you would like to treat your pet with something extra. But remember that no amount of pet rat supplies can beat the love and attention you give your pet.

The large loop goes around the neck and the smaller loop is what tightens the collar around the dog’s neck. Many say they are more humane than a dog choke collar. There are many thoughts on a this type of collar, but one bit of advice seems to be agreed on by most — never leave the Martingale dog collar on your dog when he is not being walked. Because of the extra loop, your dog can choke to death.

The collar is favored among Greyhound owners, although the collar has gained in popularity among owners of other breeds.

If you adjust the collar properly, the collar will not choke like the dog choke collar – when the tension is released, the collar loosens. These collars are good for dogs that have learned to back out of their collar. Unlike the Martingale collar, the dog choke collar can stay on the dog when not in training. When the choke collar is used care must be taken to use the collar properly.

The Martingale collar does not choke the dog’s neck, whereas with the choke collar the dog can pull hard enough to injure itself. While both types of collars will work when training your dog, nothing takes the place of the trainers themselves. Always check any collar on your pet and make sure you have a proper fit.

For example, my dog likes bottles very much. Perhaps it’s because of the shapes of bottles,  or simply because I forbid him to play with them — I am afraid he will get hurt. I know he will feel very sad if he sees me opening a bottle, as he will think am playing with it, but at the same time forbid him to do the same.

Pet dog clothes grew in popularity especially in the 21st century. Although our professor of French History once told us that French king Louis 15 also liked to see his favorite dog dressed in a coat much alike his own royal coat. Presently there are many high-end designer boutiques, where you can find pets pajamas, hats, suits, carrier clothing, and even small pet clothes. There are even special podiums designed for only “dog models.” A place where pretty ladies of 90.60.90 size are not welcome.

To tell the truth I will not dress my dog in one of these so called “high-fashion” clothes, because the animals used for the advertisement don’t look happy and pampered at all. Besides, these pet dog clothes seem ridiculous to me. For example, one can find authentic mink fur coat at 725 dollars or diamond coat at 5.084 dollars. What will the dog do with the fur if he already has a fur himself? Or what will he do with diamonds? Will he be the envy of his next door dog friend?

My dog Amber, for example, hates his pet dog clothes.

The only time he wore clothes was on  Christmas. I had dressed him like Santa Claus then. He was a great conversation piece at the party. However, he didn’t like his clothes, and for the first hour he did his best to take them off. Seeing that my dog was suffering I decided to take his pet dog clothes off. But my brother convinced me not to. All night my poor dog felt himself very nervous, and sometimes even behaved extremely inappropriately. He would bark at the guests, look at them angrily, and did his best to tear his clothes. It was awful for me. He even fell down the stairs as he had put his small paws on the clothes. Since that day I have never dressed him in  pet dog clothes. Actually I have thrown away all his pet clothes.

However, pet clothes are sometimes really very cute, and they look even cuter when your pet feels comfortable in them, if not, don’t make them upset, don’t forget that their hair and fur are far better clothes for them than any other pet cloth.

Alongside with caring about their food quality, their health and their safety, it is equally important to choose the right pet bird cages. It may seem to be an easy-to-solve problem, but once you decide to buy one, you’ll see that there are a number of factors to take into consideration.

• The most important thing is perhaps the size of your bird’s cage. Try to make it as large as you can so that to reduce your bird’s desire to escape.

All these tips for buying pet bird cages may be very useful and are indeed worth taking into consideration. However, they may also vary from one type of bird to the other. And it will surely be better to consult a veterinarian or a pet store assistant.

Pets bring a lot of joy to our lives. In order to make your pet happy, you need to give him a lot of things –accessories, medicines, clothing and food.

Raising a pet is not an easy task. It can be as hard as bringing up a child. You do your best to provide your children with everything. Your pet also must be provided with all needed things. Pet owners should fulfill their pet’s needs.

If you are a dog owner, you should give your pet a bath regularly and keep it clean. Go for walks and regularly take it to veterinarian. Give your pet necessary attention and health care. Dogs usually like to sleep peacefully, so you can buy a suitable and comfortable bed for him or her.

So, what can you do to keep them from feeling alone when you are not at home? I myself didn’t know what to do, until one day I found out that my cat likes music a lot (especially pop music). For this reason I always switch on the radio before I leave the house and let my cat enjoy herself while I am out. You can do the same.

But if you see that your cat feels well when playing, you can consider special toys for cats. Today a lot of pet stores offer a wide range of toys for pets and you can find many interesting toys at any price and quality.

What toys can you buy for your cat to prevent her/him from feeling lonely?

Toy box – This thing greatly interests almost all cats. The first thing you should do is to fill the box with as many toys as possible (the more the toys, the more your cat will be attracted by the toy box). And only before leaving, allow your cat to play with it. It is in cats’ nature to mix everything around themselves and to start picking and choosing. This process may last for hours.

Babble ball – Babble ball is a special mechanism that produces sounds. There is hardly any cat who is indifferent to sounds. It means that your cat will try to find out where these sounds come from, even if he gets tired. Why? Because his curiosity won’t let him calm down without getting an answer.

By the way don’t try to use this pet cat toy at nights when you are at home and sleeping. Your cat may jump into your bed thinking that it is you. I tell you that from my own experience!

Play and treat balls – These balls will also help you to entertain your cat. They are filled with treats which fall out from different sides of the balls as he/she is rolling them. But you should know that these balls are a bit more expensive than other toys ($6.49-$12.96).

There are still many other toys for cats like a cat toy mouse, catnip cigar, cat dancer and charmer. All these toys can be perfect solutions for you cat. Believe me, your cat knows that you are doing that for his sake and he appreciates that.

But don’t forget that although your cat is playing, he/she is always waiting for you to come back. And maybe that is one of the main reasons you keep pets — to have someone to wonder or worry about you when you’re not at home.
