Have you ever seen a dwarf rabbit? I’m sure if you see it, you won’t resist your temptation to pet it.
Dwarf rabbits are great pets, so sweet and affectionate. Imagine you come home after a tiresome day and see his sweet face, which already makes you smile.
Dwarf rabbits or the Netherlands rabbits were first found in the Netherlands in 1900. They were introduced to the US in 1960. Now dwarf rabbits are very popular pets in the US: they’re the third after dogs and cats.
These funny bunnies have thick shiny fur and come in 24 colors: orange, black, opal, chocolate and many others. They don’t differ much from standard ones yet they are more gentle and beautiful.
Feeding:
Dwarf rabbits eat vegetables, bananas, apples, leafy greens and certainly they love carrots. Never give nuts and sheets to your rabbit pet. If a dwarf rabbit is a newborn, you may feed him with a nursing bottle. If it’s under six months you should give him pellets every day.
By the way, bunnies really like to play. It’s a good idea to put a paper box in the cage: it serves both as an entertainment and a place for hiding. Dwarf rabbits don’t drink much water yet you should always check whether there’s some fresh water in his dish.
Housing:
The dwarf rabbits are small creatures, but the cage should not be small, because your pet needs some space.
Care:
Dwarf rabbits need caress and attention. They may be insulted if you do not pay enough attention and love to them.
